Good morning Beloved Brethren, Date: SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2018 Topic: JESUS CHRIST THE ONLY SAVIOUR Text: Read: 2 Corinthians 4:3-6 Daily Bible Study: Lev. 8-9; Matt. 25 “For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord” (2 Cor. 4:5). God's truth is always attacked by the enemies of righteousness. Many modify the message of Christ and water down the truth of the Gospel to appease and swell their congregations. These false messages come from Satan, the god of this world. He continues to deceive and blinds the spiritual eye of many to the truth of God’s Word. Many actually prefer to hear these lies because the truth is too hard for them to accept. While many seek to modify the true Gospel, we must preach Christ, who loves us so much that He chose to die a criminal's death on the cross in order to pay for our sins and to set us free. Christ's payment for our sins is the only source of our salvation. We must preach Christ, who healed the sick, raised the dead...
Good morning Beloved Brethren, Date: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2018 Topic: JESUS SAVES Text: Read: John 12:46-47 Daily Bible Study: Lev. 6-7; Ps. 24 “….I come not to judge the world, but to save the world” (John 12:47). Believers must understand that salvation is not a burden or an obligation but a joyful experience. That being saved opened the door to a wonderful relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a glorious thing and believers should feel delighted to spread the tidings all around, bearing the news to every land; that Jesus saves! We are to tell sinners far and wide about Christ and the free offer of salvation He gives to all mankind to be saved. We still may face battles from powers of darkness and may also encounter problems from satanic agents that may cause us to be discouraged, but whatever be the case, we must not allow anything to discourage us from telling others about Jesus. We are to broadcast it boldly and proudly to all men that “Jesus saves.” Jesus s...
BEING THE RESOLUTIONS ARRIVED AT FROM THE EMERGENCY YORUBA FARMERS SUMMIT HELD ON THURSDAY 15TH FEBRUARY, 2018 AT THE HOUSE OF CHIEFS, PARLIAMENT BUILDING, SECRETARIAT, IBADAN UNDER THE AUSPICES OF OODUA REDEMPTION ALLIANCE Theme: JUST BEFORE THE FULANIS FINISH US! 1. That we are conscious of the character trait of the Fulanis that they conquer people, occupy their lands and rule over the land. 2. That this led to their conquest, domination and rule over the entire Hausa land till today. 3. That we have the memory, to the external shame of us Yorubas anyway, how the Fulanis tricked the Ilorin Yorubas into capturing their land over which they rule till today. 4. That we are conscious of their further incursion efforts into the entire Yoruba land which led to the Osogbo war of 1840 between the Fulanis and the Ibadan warlords who decisively routed them thus stopping their further incursion. 5. That we are aware of their ceaseless plots and strategy to still capture Yoruba land in ...
AT THE AGE OF 18 YEARS *Former Stanford Dean shares the 8 skills everyone should have by age 18* 1. An 18-year-old must be able to talk to strangers, deans, advisers, landlords, store clerks, human resource managers, coworkers, bank tellers, health care providers, bus drivers, mechanics - in the real world. The crutch: We teach kids not to talk to strangers instead of teaching the more nuanced skill of how to discern the few bad strangers from the mostly good ones. Thus, kids end up not knowing how to approach strangers - respectfully and with eye contact - for the help, guidance, and direction they will need out in the world. 2. An 18-year-old must be able to find his way around the campus, the town in which her summer internship is located, or the city where he is working or studying abroad. The crutch: We drive or accompany our children everywhere, even when a bus, their bicycle, or their own feet could get them there; thus, kids don't know the route for getting from ...
*WHERE ARE YOU GOING???*  - BILLY GRAHAM .......Billy Graham is now 92 years old with Parkinson's disease. In January, leaders in Charlotte, North Carolina invited their favorite son, Billy Graham, to a luncheon in his honor. Billy initially hesitated to accept the invitation because he struggles with Parkinson's disease. But the Charlotte leaders said, 'We don't expect a major address. Just come and let us honor you.' So he agreed. After wonderful things were said about him, Dr. Graham stepped to the rostrum, looked at the crowd, and said, "I'm reminded today of Albert Einstein, the great physicist who this month has been honored by Time Magazine as the "Man of the Century". Einstein was once traveling from Princeton on a train when the conductor came down the aisle, punching the tickets of every passenger. When he came to Einstein, Einstein reached in his vest pocket. He couldn't find his ticket, so he reached in his trouser p...
Good morning Beloved Brethren, Date: FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2018 Topic: RESPOND IN GOD'S LOVE Text: Read: James 1:19-21 Daily Bible Study: Lev. 4-5; Matt. 24 “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath” (Jas. 1:19). The person who reacts to life based on sheer human nature is often presumed fickle. When the Israelites were suffering in Egypt under the whips of the slave masters on their backs, they wanted to be free. They cried out to God, and He heard their plea. Then, when faced with slight problems in the wilderness, they complained and criticized Moses, whom God had used to deliver them from slavery. They murmured against Moses even though he did everything for their own good. Whenever they offended God, Moses would plead and intercede before God on their behalf. Moses was patient with those who criticized him. He did not respond in anger or hate. He did not stop interceding for them. He had a Christ-like attitude and was...
