Good morning Beloved Brethren,

Topic: RESPOND IN GOD'S LOVE
Text: Read: James 1:19-21
Daily Bible Study: Lev. 4-5; Matt. 24
“Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath” (Jas. 1:19).
The person who reacts to life based on sheer human nature is often presumed fickle. When the Israelites were suffering in Egypt under the whips of the slave masters on their backs, they wanted to be free. They cried out to God, and He heard their plea. Then, when faced with slight problems in the wilderness, they complained and criticized Moses, whom God had used to deliver them from slavery. They murmured against Moses even though he did everything for their own good. Whenever they offended God, Moses would plead and intercede before God on their behalf.
Moses was patient with those who criticized him. He did not respond in anger or hate. He did not stop interceding for them. He had a Christ-like attitude and was meek. Do you ever feel like Moses? Being always criticized by certain people no matter what right things you do? For some people, nothing is ever good enough. Constructive criticism however, is helpful and it always comes with the alternative right way of doing things. However, do not accept or dwell on the unjust criticism of those who simply wish to tear you down.
Pray for the Spirit to recognize and accept constructive criticism and accept it with gratitude. With God's help, you can respond with an attitude of grace and forgiveness to those who may unjustly criticize you. And be careful not to unjustly criticize others. Let us love others as we would like to be loved (Mark 12:31).
Prayer: Dear Lord, please help me to ignore unjust criticisms. Give me grace to accept constructive criticisms with gratitude and respond in Your love always. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ – Amen.
