Good morning Beloved Brethren,

Topic: WHATEVER THE CIRCUMSTANCE
Text: Read: Philippians 4:11-13
Daily Bible Study: Ex. 37-38; Ps. 22
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Phil. 4:13).
Many shy away from growing spiritually because spiritual growth involves abstinence from our “beloved sins” and increased responsibilities, which are a “pain to our flesh”. We prefer to run from our troubles rather than press forward, face and overcome them. The Bible tells us to consider it pure joy when faced with trials of many kinds, because the testing of our faith produces perseverance. And when perseverance finishes its work, we become mature and complete, lacking nothing (Jas. 1:2-4).
Apostle Paul was no stranger to hardships. He endured harsh criticisms, beatings, oppositions, imprisonments and near-death situations. He was not always happy, but he found the secret to maintaining his joy: he remained focused on Christ instead of his circumstances. After speaking in Jerusalem, the Jews rose against him so much that the Roman commander had to house him in the barracks for his protection. Yet the Lord encouraged Paul and urged him to continue, saying, “Be of good cheer…” (Acts 23:11). If you're going through hard times and tempted to give up; if your rope is about to break; if you are questioning whether God has forgotten you; remember God's encouragement to Apostle Paul – be of good cheer!
Even when God seems silent, He is working things out for your good and His glory. God is above every circumstance, and uses them to weave His purpose in our lives. Whatever the circumstance, let the joy of the Lord fill your heart with praise and peace.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to find comfort in You always. As I face situations that will test and grow my faith, let Your Spirit lift my eyes to You, the source of all joy and strength. I pray in the name of Jesus Christ – Amen.
