Topic: WHEN FACED WITH EVENTS OF LIFE
Text: Read: Hebrews 13:5, 6
Daily Bible Study: Lev. 14-15; Ps. 26

“…. I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Heb. 13:5).

When faced with various life events whether good or bad, a believer should be armed with faith that is built upon the word of God. Knowing what God says about us and His will concerning the issues of life is paramount to living a stable Christian life and our source of stability and strength when various circumstances arise. Our God is faithful; He will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can endure (1 Cor. 10:13).
We should learn to trust in the Lord, knowing that he will not fail nor forsake us (Heb. 13:5). This faith becomes a shield to us and is pleasing to God. The book of Romans 8:28 says “… all things work together for good to them that love God…” We can therefore put our trust in Him, not depending on our own understanding of the situation in which we find ourselves.
Though we may not feel comfortable with His will, we should allow God to have His way in our lives, by cooperating with the Holy Spirit to enable us be taught all things that are worthy and that are expected of us. Even when things seem not to be working right or turning out as we planned, we should remember that God is at work in our lives and will make everything work together for our good in His time; His desire is for us to end well and be at peace (Jer. 29:11).

Prayer:  Dear Lord, have Your perfect way in our lives and help us to trust in You. Grant us Your mercy and grace, and help us not to be tempted beyond what we can endure. We pray in Jesus’ name – Amen.
