ONE OF LIFE'S LESSON TOMATOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🍅A teacher asked her students to bring some tomatoes in a plastic bag to school. 🍅Each tomato was to be given the name of a person whom that child hates. 🍅So, the number of tomatoes would be equal to the number of persons they hate. 🍅On a pre-determined day, All the children brought their tomatoes well addressed. 🍅Some had two, some had three and some had five, some even had 20 tomatoes in accordance with the number of people they hated. 🍅The teacher then told them they had to carry the tomatoes with them everywhere they go for two weeks. 🍅As the days passed the children started to complain about the decay and smell of the tomatoes. 🍅The students who had many tomatoes complained it was very heavy to carry and the smell was too much. 🍅After a week, the teacher asked the students “How did you feel this week?” 🍅The children complained of the awful smell and heavy weight of the tomatoes, especially those who carried
Good morning Beloved Brethren, Date: WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 31, 2018 Topic: BEWARE OF SUBTLE DECEPTION Text: Read: Proverbs 16:25 Daily Bible Study: Ex. 11-12; Matt. 16 “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Prov. 16:25) When God says something we need to pay special attention to it. We are warned about deception because it is subtle and if not discerned quickly it could lead to death. Eve sinned because she was deceived. We also can be deceived if we are not careful. We cannot accept something simply because it appears to be right. It could lead us on a pathway to death. We must test things before accepting them (1 Thess. 5:21). Cults are spreading and pose as forms of Christianity. The enemy is ensnaring Christians because they are not “proving all things”, they are not vigilant. We must look to God and His word to prove all things. If it does not agree with the Word of God, we should not believe nor accept it. People spread m

*IN CASE OF EMERGENCY (ICE)* The Federal Road Safety Commission has just come out with the concept of “ICE"..  Please read carefully, it may save your life or that of someone you know" We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory. If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending to us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this 'ICE' (In Case of Emergency) Campaign. The concept of 'ICE' is catching on quickly. It is a method of quick contact during emergency situations. As mobile phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you need to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who should be contacted during emergency under the name 'ICE' ( In Case Of Emergency). The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when he

Good morning Beloved Brethren, Date: TUESDAY, JANUARY 30, 2018 Topic: GOING FORWARD Text: Read: Hebrews 13:6 Daily Bible Study: Ex. 9-10; Ps. 15 “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me” (Heb. 13:6). Do you find yourself stuck and unable to move forward with God's vision? You are not alone. When Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, they faced the same apprehension as we do today. On reaching the Red Sea, they faced mountainous obstacles; a vast sea in front and a powerful Egyptian army behind (Ex. 14). The people cried out in fear and anguish against Moses and wanted to turn back and remain in the past life of slavery that they were used to. But Moses, filled with hope and faith declared: “The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace” (Ex. 14:14). God wanted them to move forward into a better future, hence He told Moses to speak unto the children of Israel to go forward (Ex. 14:15). God helped His pe

SEE WHAT HAPPENS TO SOME PEOPLE THAT MOCKED GOD: John Lennon (Singer): Some years ago, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said: 'Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that.. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him' (1966). Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times. Tancredo Neves (President of Brazil ): During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency. Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before his inauguration as President and he died. Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet): During A show in Canecio ( Rio de Janeiro ), while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: 'God, that's for you.' He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrib
Good morning Beloved Brethren,  Date: MONDAY, JANUARY 29, 2018 Topic: AVOID UNJUST CRITICISM Text: Read: 1 Peter 2:23 Daily Bible Study: Ex. 7-8; Matt. 15 “Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judged righteously” (1 Pet. 2:23) Those who like to criticize are usually worse at what they criticize others for and often focus on unimportant things. They are usually motivated by envy and jealousy. Miriam and Aaron were jealous of their brother Moses, because of his godly anointing and leadership role over God's chosen people. However, instead of expressing their true feelings, they criticized Moses for marrying a non-Israelite. Criticism, even when justified, is painful, much more when it’s unjustified. Irrelevant criticism hurts deeply; especially when it comes from someone you love and trust. The criticism Moses got from his siblings was unjustified. Moses had interceded for Israel to the Lord f

Good morning Beloved Brethren, Date: SUNDAY, JANUARY 28, 2018 Topic: SEEK THAT WHICH ENDURES Text: Read: John 6:27 Daily Bible Study: Ex. 5-6; Ps. 14 “Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endured into everlasting life…” (John 6:27) The fact that we serve God and do His will does not debar us from facing challenges in life. Sometimes, the challenges even come because we are keenly serving God. We are challenged, to see how firmly we stand and if we truly trust completely in God. No matter how challenging and long our trials may seem, we can be assured that the Lord never forsakes us. Nothing we are going through is beyond His knowledge. He sees us in our difficult situations and will take the right action at the right time. God’s message to us remains the same. “Don’t be afraid” rather, put your trust in the Lord! Many today continue to rush after those things that give only temporary relief and satisfaction. Our pulpits are full of prosperity messag
Appropriate Response To Obasanjo by Simon Kolawole: Obasanjo as Nigeria's moral compass Simon Kolawole Live | THISDAY | 18 January 2015 For the life of me, I will never understand how former President Olusegun Obasanjo does it. When you think he is done, he has just begun. I have watched in utter amusement how he has, yet again, wangled his way into the front page of newspapers on a daily basis. I don’t know of any other former head of state elsewhere who has turned himself into the subject and object of national attention long after he has left power. Obasanjo is always there, always scheming, always screaming. It is his luck, I must say, but, as a mere mortal, I often wonder why some guys have all the luck. Obasanjo, amazingly, has become a god or a saint to many Nigerians. Many politicians, commentators, journalists, activists and youths who used to criticise him are now celebrating him as our moral compass. The people he has brutalised before — such as Asiwaju Bola Tinu
Good morning Beloved Brethren, Date: SATURDAY, JANUARY 27, 2018 Topic: GOD IS THE SOURCE OF OUR ABILITIES Text: Read: Exodus 9:27 Daily Bible Study: Ex. 3-4; Matt. 14 “And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked” (Ex. 9:27). When Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh, the Lord was the one guiding them. They knew God had called them, and they answered, regardless of the obstacles before them. Both men knew there was no room for compromise. Therefore, when Moses instructed Aaron to touch the Nile River with the staff, Aaron did what Moses said, and the river flowed with blood. The Egyptians worshipped this river. To them, it was a vital source of life. Without its waters, the Egyptians would die. God always knows how to get the enemy's attention. Pharaoh realized God's power rested on Moses, but stubbornly refused to listen until the death of his first born and those of all
OBASANJO'S LETTERS: STRANGE THINGS HAPPEN AFTER...... OBJ's involvement in any issue seem to signify the imminent end of that issue. 1. First he wrote to Shagari when the latter was soaked in mismanagement of the economy few months later  the military smashed Shagari government. 2. In 1995 he then wrote to Abacha and  w him as a stone age dictator, the letter landed him in trouble, He was almost killed. But after his death sentence was converted into prison terms, he wrote another letter to Abacha titled NO CONDITION IS PERMANENT, Where he said, "I was a head of state yesterday, today, I'm in jail. You're the head of state today, tomorrow, your condition may be worse than mine...". Indeed, Abacha's future was worse as he ended inside the grave!!! 3. OBJ didn't write himself while in power but instead wrote his deputy, Atiku Abubakar. Atiku has become a shadow of his pre-1999 self since then. ?. It wasn't clear whether he wrote Yaradua, a
Good morning Beloved Brethren, Date: FRIDAY, JANUARY 26, 2018 Topic: STANDING AT CROSSROADS Text: Read: Exodus 3:7-10 Daily Bible Study: Ex. 1-2; Ps. 13 “And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified” (Acts 20:32). The book of Exodus 3:7 tells us that God heard the cries of His people. Yet their promised deliverance lingered, and because days stretched into weeks and weeks into months and months into years, they began to wonder if God had forgotten them. Have you ever caught yourself wondering the same way? Maybe you have obeyed Him and followed Him faithfully, but now you are standing at crossroads of hope and doubt. Moses was chosen for the daunting task of delivering the Israelites from bondage. In the beginning, Moses thought he had to take matters into his own hands by killing an Egyptian, which was not a part of God's plan. After this incident, G
BREAKING TRANSFER NEWS: Aso Rock Team Manager, Olusegun Obasanjo is considering selling the misfiring and unfit striker, Mohammadu Buhari to Lower Division Daura United Football Club in the current transfer window. Market intelligence however suggest that they're no willing buyers. Buhari signed for Aso Rock FC for £30million in 2015 despite failing medicals. The much hyped striker has not scored a single goal since then and was out injured for more than 3 months, receiving treatment at a London clinic for an undisclosed fee. It's pertinent to note that since Buhari's arrival Aso Rock FC has been battling with relegation. Obasanjo, almost in tears, recently told reporters that he was considering several options to correct this anomaly in the face of grave disappointment expressed by the teeming fans and the press. Good morning Beloved Brethren, Date: THURSDAY, JANUARY 25, 2018 Topic: SERVING JESUS IN EVERYTHING Text: Read: Ephesians6:6-7 Daily Bible Study: Gen. 49-50; Matt. 13 “Not with eyes services, as men pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart” (Eph. 6:6). Apostle Paul was talking to servants and masters. He reminded both groups that we serve one Master who is in heaven – Christ Jesus our Saviour. So we need to do everything with sincerity of heart, integrity, and respect because we are serving and working for Christ Himself. Apostle Paul reminds us, that with good will should we do service as to the Lord and not to men (v. 7). What a privilege to serve God in everything we do! Whether answering a phone call, driving a car,  doing house chores, teaching in a school, working for someone, running our own business or doing whatsoever gives us a honest living; let us do it all with a cheerful heart as if doing it unto the Lord and not just unto me

In life we can choose wisely or unwisely as we are confronted with decisions, temptations, and priorities. Our best choice would be to decide to obey our Lord Jesus Christ in all things. But obedience does not come naturally for us. Our sinful nature usually influences our decisions, choices, habits, and priorities. Therefore, we must consciously strive to follow Christ every day in order to live a life of obedience and faithfulness to God. Moses had to choose between two completely different lives: the life to one day become Pharaoh with untold prestige and power or the life that would abandon everything he knew in order to lead God's people out of slavery to an

OBASANJO'S ADVICE TO BUHARI Hate Him Or Love Him Olusegun Aremu Obasanjo Speaks Up When Necessary. By President Olusegun Obasanjo Since we are still in the month of January, it is appropriate to wish all Nigerians Happy 2018. I am constrained to issue this special statement at this time considering the situation of the country. Some of you may be asking, “What has brought about this special occasion of Obasanjo issuing a Special Statement?” You will be right to ask such a question. But there is a Yoruba saying that ‘when lice abound in your clothes, your fingernails will never be dried of blood’. When I was in the village, to make sure that lice die, you put them between two fingernails and press hard to ensure they die and they always leave blood stains on the fingernails. To ensure you do not have blood on your fingernails, you have to ensure that lice are not harboured anywhere within your vicinity. Good morning Beloved Brethren, Date: TUESDAY, JANUARY 23, 2018 Topic: LIVE ACCORDING TO GOD’S STANDARDS Text: Read: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Daily Bible Study: Gen. 45-46; Matt. 12 “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost…for ye are bought with a price therefore glorify God in your body…” (1 Cor. 6:19-20). What did Paul mean when he said that our body belongs to God? When we become Christians, the Holy Spirit comes to live in us. Therefore, we no longer own our bodies but belong to Christ. Christ’s death freed us from sin, but also obligates us to His service. Unfortunately, many people say that they own their bodies and are free to live as they like. Although they think that this is freedom. They are really slaves to their own desires. Come to think of it, how many of us can prevent our bodies from falling sick, become old, dying and decaying when the time comes? So, do we really own our bodies? While living in a building owned by someone else, you are
