Good morning Beloved Brethren,

Topic: A TOUCH OF HEAVEN
Text: Read: Hebrews 11:13-16
Daily Bible Study: Gen. 43-44; Ps. 11

“For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ” (Phil. 3:20).

Abraham realized God had a greater plan for his life; so he shifted his focus from the world around him to the world that was yet to come.
The same should be true of us. The trials we face in this earthly life cannot compare to the glory that one day will be ours. But we can also have a taste of heaven here on earth by surrendering our lives totally to God and enjoying His love and peace. Once we accept Jesus Christ as our Saviour, we are adopted into the family of God. Our names are not only written in the Lamb's Book of Life, they also are recorded in the eternal records of God's Kingdom.
With our citizenship not tied to this present physical world alone, we can live with a sense of eternal hope for the future. Those who honour God by living in obedience and submission to His will; who live as “strangers and pilgrims” on this earth (1 Pet. 2:11) and who desire and pursue a better country will be honoured by God. He will not be ashamed to acknowledge them as His very own children, for He has prepared a city for them. God has prepared the same city for you. Because Jesus Christ has saved you from your sins, you can enjoy a touch of heaven on earth as you worship and live your life for Him each day.

Prayer: Dear Lord, thank You for the gift of salvation unto us. Teach us to know more about You and enable us to serve You with all our heart and live in Your grace daily, we pray in Jesus’ name – Amen.
