Topic: BEWARE OF SUBTLE DECEPTION
Text: Read: Proverbs 16:25
Daily Bible Study: Ex. 11-12; Matt. 16

“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death” (Prov. 16:25)

When God says something we need to pay special attention to it. We are warned about deception because it is subtle and if not discerned quickly it could lead to death. Eve sinned because she was deceived. We also can be deceived if we are not careful. We cannot accept something simply because it appears to be right. It could lead us on a pathway to death. We must test things before accepting them (1 Thess. 5:21). Cults are spreading and pose as forms of Christianity. The enemy is ensnaring Christians because they are not “proving all things”, they are not vigilant.

We must look to God and His word to prove all things. If it does not agree with the Word of God, we should not believe nor accept it. People spread many ideas as truth.
However, truth can only be found in the word of God; and this truth will set us free when we adhere to it (John 8:31-32). “Let no man deceive you with vain words for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience” (Eph. 5:6-10).
The Lord Jesus warned of a time when deception would be rampant (Matt. 24:4-5, 11). Only by coming before God with a teachable spirit can we learn the truth and recognize error. As we become acquainted with God, we will become wiser and be able to better discern counterfeits and avoid them. The way to keep from being deceived is to depart from sin. Study the word of God and practice it.

Prayer: Dear Father, please create in me a clean heart so I can cooperate with the Holy Spirit and be able to discern what is right and wrong. I pray in Jesus’ name – Amen.

[1/31, 07:05] Samuel Vince_Uche: *Daily Meditation:*

We live in a fallen world and bad things happen but God works in the midst of even the deepest darkness, His presence and His light are there for those who open their eyes to see it and He brings good out of every situation.

God you are everything to me. Thank you that I can walk each moment with you and not having to figure life out on my own. And when I come to a dark time, I can put my hand in yours and depend on you as we walk through it together. I know that " the upright shall dwell in your presence" and that's where I want to live. For in your presence I will find healing, deliverance, love, peace, joy and hope. Amen.
[1/31, 07:05] Samuel Vince_Uche: *Meditation*
*Almighty God*, in whom I live and move and have my being, who hast made me for *Thy self*, so that my heart is restless till I rest in *Thee.* I will always trust you though I may seem to be lost in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and will never leave me to face my perils alone. Grant me purity of heart and strength of purpose, that no selfish passion may hinder me from knowing *Thy* will, no weakness from doing it; but that in *Thy* light I may see light clearly, and in *Thy* service find my perfect freedom;  through   *Jesus Christ our Lord.* Amen.
