Good morning Beloved Brethren,

Topic: CHOICES IN LIFE
Text: Read: Hebrews 11:23-28
Daily Bible Study: Gen. 47-48; Ps. 12

“And if it seemed evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom you will serve…but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD” (Josh. 24:15).

In life we can choose wisely or unwisely as we are confronted with decisions, temptations, and priorities. Our best choice would be to decide to obey our Lord Jesus Christ in all things. But obedience does not come naturally for us. Our sinful nature usually influences our decisions, choices, habits, and priorities. Therefore, we must consciously strive to follow Christ every day in order to live a life of obedience and faithfulness to God.
Moses had to choose between two completely different lives: the life to one day become Pharaoh with untold prestige and power or the life that would abandon everything he knew in order to lead God's people out of slavery to an unknown land. Moses chose wisely: “choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season” (Heb. 11:25). He regarded disgrace for the sake of God as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt.
Moses gave up what most of us dream about: ultimate earthly power and wealth. If you were Moses would you have just played it safe, waiting to become Pharaoh? Convincing yourself you could do more good with more power? Would you have turned your back on your people out of fear, selfishness or apathy? We must keep in mind that the temporal choices we make have eternal consequences. So our decisions should reflect God's Kingdom.

Prayer: Omniscient God, help me to make wise choices that are pleasing to You. Let my decisions be made with an eternal perspective. I pray in Jesus’s name –Amen.

POLITICS (PLEASE POST YOUR OPINION) Donald Trump will tonight hand out his inaugural ‘fake news awards’ to the media outlets that have most angered him during his first year as President. The Commander in Chief announced the bizarre ceremony in a tweet late Tuesday, writing: ‘I will be announcing THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR on Monday at 5:00 o’clock. ‘Subjects will cover Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media. Stay tuned!’ President Trump has been most vociferous in attacking CNN for its supposed ‘fake news’, with the network widely expected to win the majority of gongs. The awards are likely to be ‘handed out’ in a series of scathing tweets from Mr Trump, and it is unclear whether he will present winners with any sort of booby prize. He popularized the term fake news during his White House run, using it to attack reports whose facts he disputes. But Trump’s critics claim it is an easy way of shouting down va...
JANUARY 14, 2019 Left home around 6am and picked up Isaac at Itamaga. Left for Benin through Ijebu Ode. Arrived Benin around 10.30am. Very smooth drive. All marketing activities today went so well. Checked into the hotel with Isaac around 5.30pm. Worked on my report for today and caught up on my blog.
FEBRUARY 01, 2019 Thank God its Friday! Tate joined me in my car as I drove to work. I dropped him off at 7up bus stop, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. He was heading for his company headquarters at Ajao Estate. I got to work early enough. Not very comfortable because I did not exactly carry out my duties properly yesterday. I eventually defended my activities in the meeting presided by the MD. I left with Dare in our separate cars for Iyare Transport Company to Waybill Oxide pigments heading for Benin to Golden Julirose. Joined the the brethren who visited the Old People's Home at the location. We sang and prayed with the old people and rounded up at 6pm. I left with Tobi to pick up Tate at Itamaga and drop off Tobi at her residence in Itamaga. Drove home with Tate. Hung about at B-Lounge with Tate later in the night. Took 2 bottles of beer and a plate of pepper soup each. Bought a plate of pepper soup as 'take away' for Ify.
