Good morning Beloved Brethren,

Topic: KNOWING GOD
Text: Read: Matthew 10:28-33
Daily Bible Study: Gen. 11-12; Ps. 3

“Do ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?” (Mark 12:24).

God is the absolute authority and ruler over all of creation. Neither a hair nor a sparrow falls to the ground against God's will (Matt. 10:29-30). Without absolute authority and rule, God's other attributes would be conditional. If God were not all-powerful, His love could be affected or changed by outside forces. Thankfully, we serve a God whose love is unconditional and not affected by anything outside His will. We know from the book of Romans 8:28 that “all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”.
We might not know everything we may want to know about the Lord, yet the Scriptures reveal to us that first and foremost, He loves us. This love was demonstrated as stated in the book of Romans 5:8, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”.
As a king’s child is bold and fearless knowing who his/her father is, so should we be bold and fearless knowing who our Almighty God and Father is. God our Father is the Omniscient, Omnipotent and Omnipresent One. The Almighty Supreme Being that made and controls the universe. There is great peace and comfort in reliance on God based on our knowledge of Him. Spend time in His Word and get to know Him in a richer and fuller way.

Prayer: Almighty Father, thank You for revealing Yourself unto us to make us know You better. Help us to spend more time in Your Word so that we will be bold and fearless. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ – Amen.

POLITICS (PLEASE POST YOUR OPINION) Donald Trump will tonight hand out his inaugural ‘fake news awards’ to the media outlets that have most angered him during his first year as President. The Commander in Chief announced the bizarre ceremony in a tweet late Tuesday, writing: ‘I will be announcing THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR on Monday at 5:00 o’clock. ‘Subjects will cover Dishonesty & Bad Reporting in various categories from the Fake News Media. Stay tuned!’ President Trump has been most vociferous in attacking CNN for its supposed ‘fake news’, with the network widely expected to win the majority of gongs. The awards are likely to be ‘handed out’ in a series of scathing tweets from Mr Trump, and it is unclear whether he will present winners with any sort of booby prize. He popularized the term fake news during his White House run, using it to attack reports whose facts he disputes. But Trump’s critics claim it is an easy way of shouting down va...
